Aruba Island Transportation

placeholder

Rental cars, taxis, buses, and personal automobiles are the most common methods of travel in Aruba. The majority of the roads are paved, but towards the interior of the island you will encounter unpaved roads. With a total of 800 km of road, 287 km are unpaved.

The most econnomical option for your island transportation is "Arubus". The busses won't take you out on the back roads of the island but will transport you efficiently between Oranjestad, San Nicolas, Palm Beach and most major beaches and the hotel areas. Bus stops are also located near the airport. Ask your hotel concierge for schedule information or see Arubus Information

There is an abundance of international and local car rental companies but only 10 operate from the airport. Others have a shuttle service between their office and the airport.
